Abstract
The present study aimed to identify and prioritize the sustainable performance indicators of managers in the economic, social, and environmental dimensions in the tile and ceramic industry. In terms of purpose, this study is applied, and in terms of implementation, it is descriptive-survey. The statistical population consisted of senior managers of selected tile and ceramic companies in Meybod. Data were collected through distributing and collecting questionnaires and conducting interviews with senior managers. To select and rank the indicators, the fuzzy Delphi method and the base-criterion method were used. The findings indicate that out of 56 initial indicators,50 indicators were confirmed by obtaining a crisp value above the threshold of4. In the social dimension, the indicators “commitment to work” and “organizational commitment” obtained the highest priority. In the economic dimension, “creativity and innovation to reduce costs” and “loyalty to reduce costs” were ranked first. In the environmental dimension, “attention to standards” and “manager’s environmental behavior” were identified as key indicators. The results of this study provide a clear picture of the most important indicators for evaluating managers from a sustainability perspective, which can be used as a roadmap for improving sustainable performance in the country's manufacturing industries. The main innovation of this study lies in presenting a localized and quantitative framework comprising 50 confirmed indicators and a novel combined application of the fuzzy Delphi and base-criterion methods for the first time in Iran's tile and ceramic industry, which draws a concrete picture of managerial priorities for enhancing sustainability in this industry.
